Monday at the AUTM Annual Meeting

It’s Presidents’ Day! Who was the only president to receive a patent? Abraham Lincoln was the only president to receive a patent himself. Congressman Lincoln received Patent #6469 for "A Device for Buoying Vessels Over Shoals" on May 22, 1849.

As you prepare for your day, remember to wear comfortable shoes, bring lots of business cards and a sweater! Plan to attend the Keynote Address, Plenary and Awards Presentation, 8 – 10am - Seaport Ballroom – Level 2. The Keynote Speaker is David Butler. The Keynote Address is a great place to network, since it typically draws a crowd. 

If your blood sugar levels are dropping, make sure to check out the Dessert Reception, 1– 1:45pm - Exhibit Hall, Grand Hall B – D - Lobby Level, While there, browse the Exhibit Hall and gather all that swag you have been waiting for!

Make sure to fill out the evaluation forms for all the classes and events you attend so we can make them better!

After class, move on over to the Industry/Academia Partnering Forum Part 2, 4 – 5:30pm, Harbor H – Level 2. Then go on to the Industry/Academia Networking Reception and Exhibits, 5:30 – 6:30pm, Grand Hall B – D - Lobby Level.

To close out the day, make sure to attend the Opening Reception, 6:30 – 8pm, Seaport Ballroom - Level 2.
