G20 Gobal Business Challenge

Promote your technologies to the global G20 business community. The G20 Global Business Challenge is a unique collaborative graduate competition between universities, business schools and the technology community to solve a global problem. Being run as a partnership between three Australian universities, state and federal governments as part of the G20. The competition culminates in the finals in Brisbane as part of the lead-up to the G20 leaders Summit.

Invitations to universities and busienss schools globally have commenced. Teams can be formed by universities, by technology transfer offices and/or eligible graduate students.

Non-Australian finalist teams will receive $US 10,000 in travel aid to attend the finals.
  • $US125,000 prize pool
  • Global promotion of technologies within finalist team solutions through the governments G20 media network
  • Potential access to up to $US 1 million for pilot funding (to be confirmed)

The challenge for 2014 is the treatment, reuse and recycling of water for large scale impact.
Technologies in the following (water dependent) domains should be considered:
Agriculture 
Environment
Manufacturing
Renewable energy
Water
