Bio

Christopher Noble is Director of Corporate Engagement for MIT’s Environmental Solutions Initiative. He was previously MIT's Licensing Officer for energy technology. He has also led international technology-transfer capacity-building engagements for MIT. In his 30+ year career, Mr. Noble worked in engineering, marketing, M&A and executive management for international energy and technology companies. He was subsequently on the founding teams and raised funding for two startups, as VP Sales & Marketing and CEO. He is the lead inventor on two issued patents. Before joining MIT, Mr. Noble spent ten years as an independent consultant and investor, raising and negotiating financing for early-stage companies, and serving on the Boards of private technology companies and non-profits. He lectures and consults internationally on university IP policy and valuation, industrial sponsorship, capacity-building, and commercialization through spinout companies. Mr. Noble is a Certified Licensing Professional, a Registered Technology Transfer Professional and a recipient of the Licensing Executive Society Deals of Distinction award. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of University Technology Managers in 2017. Mr. Noble has a B.Eng. from McGill University and an MBA from MIT, has lived and worked in the US, Canada, South America and Europe, and is fluent in French and Spanish. www.linkedin.com/in/crnoble
