Why did we postpone the AUTM Leadership Forum?

We had a great committee, a terrific and timely program, an attractive location, and registrations on par with expectations.  So why did we decide to postpone?

The committee worked diligently to put together a program suitable for AUTM's leadership.  Program content was developed, and speakers and panelists were identified and recruited.  As you would expect, final confirmations are difficult for these types of speakers/panelists, all thought leaders in their field.  Over the past 2 weeks, we became very concerned about these scheduling conflicts and the gaps they might create in the program.

We reconvened the committee and concluded that such programming gaps would significantly impact the overall objectives of the meeting and would lessen the take-away value for participants.  We did not want to deliver a mediocre program.

However, because interest in this program is high among senior AUTM members and the content remains essential to the future of academic technology transfer, the meeting will be rescheduled.

If you were registered, AUTM will be refunding your registration fee in full. We will also notify you about the rescheduled meeting dates as soon as the venue is secured. AUTM is exploring options to host the meeting in Napa in October 2012.

If you have any questions, please contact AUTM at +1-847-559-0846, or email bgunderson@autm.net.
