Tapping into the imagination, perseverance, courage and innovation of scientists at academic institutions around the world has supported breathtaking improvements in the quality of life for people around the globe over the past 30 years. This entrepreneurial spirit — supported by technology transfer professionals along with business partners and private and public equity — has changed lives for the better. It expands treatments, access to adequate food and clean water, and supports good stewardship of the environment through efforts to reduce reliance upon fossil fuel, as well as taking on the challenge of remediation in areas where munitions have contaminated the soil and water.
