When I began my term of service in March I committed myself to an agenda of change. As part of that agenda AUTM has begun a strategic plan review process. An important element of that process is the survey sent out to you yesterday. In parallel we have conducted 360° interviews about AUTM with key stakeholders and industry members.
Now you may be saying to yourself “didn’t I just do a survey like this last year?” And you would be right. We surveyed AUTM members last year as part of our ongoing member needs assessment and those results have already been put into use by our committees and staff who are working hard to enhance member benefits. We will be incorporating those data into our strategic review process but we felt the need to augment our data set in such a way as to maximize the value of the strategic review and hence we are asking for a bit more of your time over the next week.
The purpose of these interviews and the member survey is to identify trends in our industry and issues to our members and to identify key areas that we will address with the strategic review team members. Through consultation, interview and surveying a wide variety of people we can not only better serve you as members today, we can change AUTM for the better in the future. I invite you to be part of this process by taking the survey and thank you for your time.
