It looks like AUTM has successfully continued its recent trend to attract high profile, intriguing and entertaining plenary speakers for its Annual Meeting.  The 2010 Annual Meeting will feature Michael Roizen M.D. and Matthew Nordan as its plenary speakers.

Dr. Mike Roizen, the Chief Wellness Office of the Cleveland Clinic, is a nationally recognized expert on wellness and its role in health care reform.  He is a multi-New York Times best selling author and co-founder of RealAge, Inc.  A truly engaging personality, Dr. Mike has developed quite a following from his frequent appearances on network and cable news shows, PBS specials, and as one of the YOU docs on the Oprah Winfrey Show.  When not lecturing and publishing on health and wellness and advocating for healthier lifestyles for his patients, in his “spare time”, Dr. Mike has co-founded six companies, has been awarded 14 U.S. patents, and co-invented an FDA-approved drug (RelistorTM).

Mr. Nordan is Vice President of Venrock Associates, a venture capital firm known for its successful investing in the biotechnology, healthcare, media and energy sectors.  Prior to joining Venrock, Matthew served as president and co-founder of Lux Research, a firm that provides strategic advice and intelligence for emerging technologies and markets.  During his time at Lux Research, Matthew became a widely-recognized authority on developing technologies in multiple areas in the physical sciences, most notably the nanotechnology space, and his presentations on the growth of nanotechnology markets are both provocative and compelling.

I have heard both of these plenary speakers present before, and both top notch, and are covering quite relevant and intersting topics.  I fully expect the 2010 plenaries to be another home run for the Annual Meeting.
