Managing Conflicts of Interest for Faculty Startups

Join us at the AUTM 2015 Eastern Region Meeting!

Researchers going rogue? Join us for the panel discussion “Managing Conflicts of Interest for Faculty Startups”.

I’ll be hosting a session at the AUTM 2015 Eastern Region Meeting in Raleigh on August 31, 2015. Joining me will be Jill Uhl from Johns Hopkins University, Jeff Steltzer from Georgia Institute of Technology and Jeff Childers from Ward and Smith, P.A.  We’ll be drawing on our collective expertise in the area of conflict of interest to explore issues in managing inventor involvement in startups and industry research relationships, and determine best practices for our profession. Particular emphasis will be placed on the acceptance of startup funding and the roles grad students can play in startup activities. This topic will be of interest to licensing managers familiar with startups or those just beginning to get experience in the area.

Please join me in Raleigh for this and other outstanding workshops!  Remember to register by July 7th for the lowest registration fee!
