Requirements

·          Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or commensurate work experience in lieu of degree

·          Experience with contractual agreements including, confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, clinical research organization agreements, consulting agreements, collaborative research agreements, and data transfer agreements

·          Tracks status of agreements

·          Maintains detailed and organized files

·          Facilitates negotiation meetings with contracting partners, analyses and mitigates risk

·          Develops trust and models open, candid, respectful communication and collaborative team work

·          Demonstrates a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning

·          Experience working with information management systems

·          Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel pivot tables, spreadsheet design, and Adobe Pro.

Job Description

Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) serves as the liaison between the Hospital’s research community and the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, medical device, diagnostic and venture capital communities. The department develops and nurtures collaborations to disseminate intellectual capital for the public benefit while also managing the day-to-day business processes required as a recipient of federal research funding.

The Contracts Administrator, reporting to the Technology Transfer Contracts Manager, will be responsible for the negotiation and preparation of Confidentiality Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Data Transfer Agreements, Research Collaboration Agreements, and other agreements in support of research within the Research Institute and the Hospital.

Additionally, the Contracts Administrator will: (1) maintain the departmental agreement data base; (2) ensure compliance with NIH regulations covering NIH funded inventions; (3) participate in the drafting, preparation, and negotiation of Inter Institutional agreements, and other agreements as requested; (4) assist with development and implementation of institutional policies and procedures related to research projects requiring written contracts negotiated by the Office of Technology Transfer; and (5) work with corporate or institutional liaisons to resolve contractual issues within agreements.
