Dear AUTM Colleagues,

Our profession is one that is continually evolving and requires an ever-expanding skill set, which is why AUTM offers an online professional development series. These twice-monthly, 90 minute courses are designed to offer cost-effective training that you can participate in from the comfort of your own office. All you need is a computer and a phone line. In addition, your office pays one low registration fee regardless of how many of your colleagues take advantage of the presentation.

The workshops are designed with three audiences in mind: administrative/support professionals, beginners to technology transfer and intermediate to advanced career professionals.

Upcoming courses include:

Tips for Managing MTAs (Lessons Learned): Aug. 12, 2009

Financial Conflicts of Interest: Aug. 19, 2009

Promoting the Role of the Technology Transfer Office Within Your University: Sept. 22, 2009

Triage: Sept.  29, 2009

Managing Stakeholder Expectations: Oct. 13, 2009

Managing Priorities in Lean Academic Times: Oct. 28, 2009

As AUTM’s Vice President for Professional Development, I am interested in your feedback about AUTM’s Online Professional Development Series and other AUTM programs. I’d welcome your replies to this blog post. Tell me what you’d like to see presented. Tell me about your experiences with AUTM online.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you’ll join us for an online course soon.

Sincerely,

Jane Muir

AUTM Vice President for Professional Development
