Technology Transfer Trivia at the AUTM Annual Meeting! (Network, laugh, and impress your colleagues!)

I know where I’ll be on Friday afternoon at the AUTM Annual Meeting in San Antonio – at the Technology Transfer Trivia contest, 2 – 3:30 p.m., Room 006AB. Those of you who have attended AUTM Central Region Meetings recognize this tradition, and I’m excited we’re bringing it to the AUTM Annual Meeting, February 27 – March 2 in San Antonio, Texas.

This is a chance to let loose a bit (needed after one and one half days of serious sessions), show off your tech transfer and regional knowledge, learn some interesting facts, maybe win a trophy, and, most importantly, add to your network of AUTM colleagues that you can call on throughout the year for advice and support. Each person will be assigned to a team, so you’ll have a chance to bond with new people that you’ll probably never forget (mostly because they can recite Bayh-Dole by heart or remember who performed at halftime for the 1969 Super Bowl). Seriously, though, Scott Elmer does a great job of compiling a good mix of questions about our profession, local lore, and who-knows-what-else. Chuck Valauskas will serve as our witty and handsome emcee. And those trophies…as a person who is fortunate enough to regularly wander into Howard Bremer’s office to chat, I can report that his AUTM CRM trivia trophy is displayed proudly with his other awards (which some might judge to be more prestigious, but I’m not sure).

So join us on Friday afternoon, and I guarantee that you’ll laugh, learn, and meet some great folks.
