Having difficulty making connections at AUTM conventions? Then attending the free AUTM webinar “An Insider’s Guide to Effective Partnering with AUTM Connect” is for you. On January 21, 2016, Dave Bialkowski, JUJAMA, will demonstrate all the bells and whistles of the AUTM Connect system available to attendees of the AUTM 2016 Annual Meeting. Whether you are a first time attendee or seasoned veteran of the event, you will learn something about how best to use the AUTM Connect system to be the most productive in San Diego.

Anne M. Izzi, JD attended last year and had this to say, “Great seminar! The speakers focus on how to speak with industry attendees to learn to effectively communicate with them whether at a formal meeting or at one of the receptions. Keeping the conversations fairly brief and limited to learning how best to communicate your technologies later is key.”

One of the most important things to do in preparation for AUTM 2016 is to plan ahead. View the online Schedule and pick out the sessions that are of interest to you. Come back next week to see a list of some of the events and sessions that we think are particularly useful for attending your first AUTM national meeting. For example, plan on attending the session “First Class for First Timers” 5-6 pm February 14, 2016, to meet other First Timers and to get additional tips for navigating AUTM 2016.

Another strategy for having a successful meeting is to review the roster of attendees to identify people you would like to meet. Try to make as many contacts before the meeting as possible. Many potential partners have their schedules completely full before the meeting begins. Make sure to send out invitations for partnering meetings as soon as you can.
