Greetings!  For those of you who have a serious (or even casual) interest in playing golf and are planning to come to Chicago for the 2017 AUTM Central Region Meeting (July 10-12), have we (once again) got a FUN opportunity for you:  The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event.   And we’re letting you know about The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event well in advance so you can arrange/make your travel plans so you don’t miss out on this opportunity.

Actually, The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event will be a fairly “casual,” “informal,” and hopefully “fun-filled” way to play some golf, meet perhaps some old (or new) acquaintances, and even network while chasing that little white (or yellow, orange or pink) golf ball around the course.  Assuming the weather cooperates, The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2015 AUTM Central Region Golf Event is planned take place on Sunday (July 9) before the start of the meeting on Monday (July 10).  In fact, if we get enough committed participants, this event may even be turned into a “scramble” format so we can truly launch a group “assault” on the course (to be determined).

Update:  the course currently selected for the Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event is Harborside International:  https://www.harborsidegolf.com/ .  For those who played in the Officially UNOFFICIAL 2014 AUTM Central Region Golf Event, it may remind you of the National Gateway course that we played in East St. Louis.

So how do you enter The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event?  Very easy.  Just confirm with me the following: (1) you are coming to Chicago for the 2017 AUTM Central Region Meeting; (2) you are bringing your golf clubs; (3) you will be arriving in Chicago enough ahead of time so you can play golf on Sunday (July 9); (4) whether you want to play Sunday morning or Sunday afternoon (starting tee times before noon CDT for morning or before 3PM CDT for afternoon); (4) your handicap or average score for 9 or 18 holes (please be honest, no “sandbagging”!); and (5) you agree to participate in The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event in a spirit of FUN and FELLOWSHIP.  By confirming items (1) through (3), you are also making a commitment to participate in The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event unless “unforeseen events” (e.g., illness, injury, personal or business emergencies, Acts of God or War, etc.) transpire that prevent you from participating.

I hope you’re able to commit to participating in The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event. Once I see how many committed participants there are for The Officially UNOFFICIAL 2017 AUTM Central Region Golf Event, I’ll get back to those committed participants on arranging starting tee times and any other information that might be helpful.
