I've been working with a dedicated group of volunteers for the past couple of years to explore what AUTM members can do to encourage more women to participate in innovation, from invention to entrepreneurship. Studies show that women participate to a lesser degree than men, and there's lots of information and ideas out there on how to make sure we're accessing all of the great inventiveness and talent at our institutions. We invite you all to attend our first open SIG in New Orleans, Monday, February 23, 10:30-12, in Imperial 5 (A&B) on level 4. You'll hear about some great data gathering from Washington University in St. Louis and also about resources, suggestions, and information that we hope all AUTM members can use in their home institutions. We also want to hear your ideas, and there will be time for networking. Please do come by, and even if you can't, please check our
website for information and tools. We'd love to have your participation, thoughts, ideas, and support.
