As AUTM President Todd Sherer mentioned in his recent blog, the AUTM Member Needs Survey has provided us with a lot of useful information as we plan future events and programs.

As the AUTM VP for Strategic Alliances, I was especially interested in your feedback on the AUTM Global Technology Portal (GTP). AUTM launched the GTP in March of last year, and we already have more than 22,000 technologies listed.

The majority of survey responses to questions about the GTP indicated that members would find it "very useful" if AUTM were to integrate the GTP with our partnering software used at the Annual Meeting. I'm happy to report that this is already underway. In fact, our new partnering software, AUTM Connect, automatically pulls technologies from the GTP so potential licensees can view your institution's technology offerings with no extra effort on your part. This new feature should significantly enhance your ability to showcase your offerings efficiently and partner more effectively.

We plan to leverage the GTP even more in future versions of AUTM Connect so that, in addition to technology listings, AUTM Connect will also pull in capabilities and summaries.

The next version of the GTP will launch near the end of this month (fingers crossed we can announce the changes at the Annual Meeting). This new version will include the addition of analytics to help you see which pages are attracting attention and, when possible, who is viewing the pages (a useful tool for reporting metrics).
