Sun Tzu: “If
your opponent is at ease, give him no rest. If his forces are concentrated,
draw them out and disperse them. Attack where he is unprepared, appear when you
are not expected. ”
Raven: “When you meet a mountain lion on the path, appear big. If
you are not big, you can still appear big if you remember his eyesight is not
very good. That is what it means to be a shapeshifter. You appear to be what
you are not by exploiting the weaknesses of those you fear, want to play with, or would help
anonymously.”
Poor Richard: “There is always competition, although it is not always
easy to recognize it. Competition can come from anywhere or anyone who has
something your customers want. But people do not carry placards saying we are
your competition. So how do you recognize it? Here is the trick. You find a
market opportunity you can exploit with a competitive advantage and you grab it
when the timing is propitious. Some will congratulate you, others will complain.
The ones who complain are the competition. They will try to stop you but they
will be too late.”
