I’m looking forward to this year’s AUTM Leadership Forum November 13-14 in Napa, California. The program is exciting, and the serene Napa backdrop offers the perfect setting to take a step back and discuss the issues facing our profession at a high level.
Our keynote speaker, Richard Bendis, President and CEO of Innovation America, will kick-off the Leadership Forum with a talk on the global innovation imperative – with a special focus on the evolving role of universities in driving the innovation ecosystem around them.
Duane Roth, CONNECT's Chief Executive Officer, will set the stage for the second half of the Leadership Forum’s focus on U.S. innovation policy, on AUTM’s public policy agenda, and on the evolving role of academic research institutions in driving regional innovation economies.
Be sure to check out the schedule and make sure you register by the early bird registration deadline, September 20.
The AUTM Leadership Forum will feature discussions around creative new initiatives, programs, and practices in technology transfer—and we'd like you to participate. Do you have a creative program you'd like to share? We're looking for programs promoting student innovation and entrepreneurship, encouraging faculty innovation, engaging with regional and local economic development efforts and more. For more information and to apply to have your initiative discussed at the Leadership Forum, fill out the application by September 12.
The AUTM Western Region Meeting will be held in the same location immediately afterward, so there will be even more opportunities to network and share ideas. You can view the Western Region Meeting schedule and register online here.
