Bio

I am an Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer professional working to help support faculty in the technology commercialization process. Technology Transfer in a University setting is all about supporting faculty in their primary objective. In higher education, faculty produce our main product - education in young student minds. One of the tools that faculty use to help educate students is research. Through research, faculty (and students) may make novel, useful, non-obvious discoveries that have commercial potential. My role is to help faculty, students, and the community capitalize on that value while keeping the primary goals of the University and region in focus. I graduated from law school with a JD and an LLM in Intellectual Property (including a certificate in Intellectual Property). I am licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. I also have a BS in engineering, an MS in engineering/material science, and licensed as a professional engineering in Texas. Specialties: Material Science, Intellectual Property, Patent Law, Technology Transfer, University Based Economic Development, Technology Based Economic Development. Licensing, Start-up Creation.
